A late summers walk from Holkham to Wells and back again.  Along the beach and back through the pine woods. The view back towards Gun Hill and Scolt Head Island was endless.

Sunny skies on a crisp day at Holkham Beach, followed by chips and mussels at the Red Lion, Stiffkey. As ever, the beauty and peace at Holkham is all consuming.

Holkham beach is one of the most expansive sandy beaches on the North Norfolk Coast.  Vast skies and endless views make Holkham a wonderful place to walk.

Tom and his family go there often; they always make a point of visiting the ‘family bench’, found in the pine woods.  The bench was placed there in memory of Tom Cringle’s Grandfather who was the head game keeper at Holkham.
